Therapy for Teenagers

The central task for a teenager is to balance their growing desire for independence with the need for parental and familial support. During these transformative years, adolescents often grapple with complex challenges including academic pressure, social anxiety, body image concerns, changing sexuality and/or gender identity, and relationship dynamics.

Our therapists create a safe, judgment-free space where teens can explore their emotions and concerns openly. We understand how academic stress can impact mental health, and we work with teens to develop healthy coping strategies for managing school pressures while maintaining their well-being. We also help adolescents build practical coping tools as they navigate complex peer relationships, changing family dynamics, and a renewed journey toward self-discovery.

We also support parents with managing the stresses of parenting adolescent children, providing psychoeducation and guidance in responding to the often confusing needs of their teenager. We help to manage setting boundaries and tolerating overwhelming emotions while remaining present, open, and available during this tumultuous developmental phase.
