Personality Disorders

We provide evaluations and bespoke treatment programs for personality disorders, including borderline personality disorder (BPD), narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), and other challenges related to identity, tumultuous relationships, emotion regulation, and self-destructive behaviors.

Our practice offers Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), a treatment approach that explores the emotional dynamics between therapist and client to provide insight into relational patterns. This method is particularly effective in working with borderline personality disorder and narcissistic personality disorder, as well as individuals who exhibit features of these disorders but do not meet full criteria for the diagnosis. TFP helps individuals to develop a more cohesive and intact sense of their identity, process painful emotions and distressing experiences, and develop healthier ways of connecting to themselves and others.

We also facilitate referrals to ancillary treatments, such as specialized psychiatrists, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills groups, and family or couples therapy.

Throughout the therapeutic process, we prioritize creating comprehensive, supportive treatment plans that allow patients to feel contained and supported as they work through some of the more challenging and painful aspects of existing in the world.
