Jessica Nadel, PhD

Dr. Jessica Nadel is a clinical psychologist who provides psychotherapy, consultation, and evaluation to adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples. She specializes in working with parents navigating the challenges of parenting, pregnancy, postpartum, and transitions such as becoming a stay-at-home parent, returning back to work, or shifting professional aspirations that occur during the different phases of parenthood. She is passionate about supporting mothers as they adjust to the personal and emotional transformations that come with motherhood. She also has experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, addressing a wide range of difficulties and concerns, and is well versed in providing affirming care for LGBTQ+ identified individuals.

Dr. Nadel’s expertise extends to working with children, using play therapy techniques to foster self-awareness, strengthen emotion regulation, and build meaningful connections with those around them. Dr. Nadel also works with adolescents and teens with histories of trauma, anxiety, and emotion dysregulation. This blend of experience extends to adults as well, helping to address issues of anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, life transitions, and emotion dysregulation. In her collaborative, non-judgemental, and warm approach, Dr. Nadel aims to empower individuals to understand their thoughts, feelings, and unconscious motivations in a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship.

Dr. Nadel holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University - Brooklyn. She has a variety of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals in psychoanalytic institute, foster care, elementary school, college counseling, inpatient psychiatric, and outpatient hospital settings. She completed her predoctoral internship training at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies.
